Indianapolis 500
carb day.JPG Friday brought warmer weather and a very green race track to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and caused nearly everyone on the track to scramble for new setups, including Jeff. Speeds for everyone were way off today, some front runners off nearly nine MPH. Jeff got laps just a tick off 215 MPH but knows that some fixes need to be found prior to Sunday. “Nobody has tested in anything close to these conditions and Sunday will probably be even a lot hotter. Our engineers are developing a plan for Sunday and I have faith in them, but the car I drive on Sunday will be unlike anything so far this month.” “All month the car was very good in traffic but that advantage is gone now, and obviously you need to work well in traffic to be successful in race.” Tomorrow is marked by the public drivers meeting followed by the 500 Festival Parade. Everyone at Bucknum Racing invites our fans and supporters to follow Jeff drive to the front through TV, radio, internet, or even in person.
